Cornell Linguistics
Welcome! This page provides a central resource for you to learn more about our department, Cornell, and Ithaca. You will also find a schedule of our virtual open house events.
We are delighted to have you visit our graduate program. Our faculty and graduate students take a very interdisciplinary approach to linguistics, representing linguistic theory applied to a broad range of linguistic evidence. This includes work with corpora, computational models, experimental methods, fieldwork, and language documentation. In the presentations and conversations linked below, we hope you will get a sense of who we are and what we do. If you have any questions, or need any further information, please don't hesitate to ask.
Sarah Murray, Director of Graduate Studies
