Shohini Bhattasali Accepts PostDoc

Shohini Bhattasali is graduating with a Ph.D. in Linguistics and a graduate minor in Cognitive Science, after having successfully defended her dissertation, "A Neurolinguistic Approach to Noncompositionality and Argument Structure". While at Cornell, she has been active in the Cornell Linguistics Circle and served as president. She has also volunteered for LabPhon, NELS, and NACLO.

Shohini will be starting as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Linguistics and Institute for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, with Philip Resnik. She will be researching human language interpretation and misinterpretation, applying psycholinguistic and neurolinguisics measurement techniques and computational modeling of the interpretive process.
