ASL Lecturer Nora Owen was awarded for her service with the Dr. Barbara Kannapell Project: LGBTQIA+ in ASL Education at the American Sign Language Teachers Association Conference in Columbus, Ohio on July 1, 2023. One of the project’s goals is to educate gender and sexuality within the ASL and Deaf Studies curriculum. Congratulations, Nora!
